Kings Creek 3 - Falls

Lassen Volcanic National Park. Sept 3 - 6, 2004.

(top, down) A pretty little creek gushing down a pristine canyon. It just doesn't get any better!

(top, down) Just upstream of the lookout point the canyon starts downhill.

(top, down) On the map the "falls" is just the 30 foot vertical drop at the bottom. This entire 1/3 mile section above the "falls" is all white and falling like crazy, so I'm calling it the Upper Falls.

Lower Falls

(top, down) The falls end in a big vertical drop of 30 feet. Part of the falls were in deep shade and part were in bright sun, so it was impossible to take a picture that showed the whole thing. (photo by Jim)
